From a young age, Carolin Leary Prinn (b. Boston, 1984) has been inspired by mythology, folklore and history, stirring the creation of her mythical world, The Islands of Niljora. Her works are formed from a combination of life study, personal reference and the imagination, with an emphasis on symbolic storytelling. Through this, she evokes her enigmatic and magical tales. Born in Boston, Carolin later lived in her familial home of New Zealand before moving to Europe. She now works from her private studio and home in Germany.
